Muscat de Rivesaltes
Situated ten kilometres north of Perpignan is the wine growing region of Rivesaltes. It lies between Corbieres to the north, Canigou to the west, the Pyrenees to the south and the Mediterranean to the east.
It is a sweet wine and contains a concentrated 252g/l natural grape sugars thanks to 2,600 hours of sunshine per year, less than 600 mm (23.5 inches of rain, near drought conditions in the summer and the incessant Tramontane wind.
