Cross country skiing

Cross country The Pyrenees has a vast array of cross country skiing tracks for you to explore. The largest area provides over 100km of marked tracks or you can follow an old smugglers route between France and Spain for that added sense of adventure

Telemark A type of skiing developed by Sondre Norheim and named after the Telemark region in Norway. Connecting the ski boot to the ski at the toes only allows turns that are led with the heel flat on the outside ski and the heel raised and knee bent on the inside ski.

Snow shoeing They may look like tennis rackets but they certainly do the job in snow! Equipment and guides can be hired in a number of resorts to discover a peaceful winter wonderland. The most ecologically sound way of exploring the mountains

Dog sled

What better way to see the Pyrenees than being pulled on a sleigh behind a pack of husky dogs.

Snow mobiles The racing versions can reach speeds of up to 120mph but best to start off at a slightly gentler pace! Take up the challenge of driving a snow mobile through snow terrain or enjoy the experience whilst a guide does the hard work.
