Ski / snowboard The highly underrated Pyrenees mountains provide excellent skiing. Significant investment in the lift systems and improved accommodation mean the gap between the Alps and the Pyrenees continues to diminish. Snowboarding is also well catered for here

Cross country The Pyrenees has a vast array of cross country skiing tracks for you to explore. The largest area provides over 100km of marked tracks or you can follow an old smugglers route between France and Spain for that added sense of adventure

Telemark A type of skiing developed by Sondre Norheim and named after the Telemark region in Norway. Connecting the ski boot to the ski at the toes only allows turns that are led with the heel flat on the outside ski and the heel raised and knee bent on the inside ski.
